Construction industry plays an important part in the economic growth of countries, especially developing counties. It was observed that the construction industry faces many problems which hinders its growth. Despite an adequate emphasis on project management, the construction firms less focus on advance management domains, like strategic management, operational management, and decision making which are vital for ensuring effective organizational performance. Hence the current study was planned to establish the implementation level of advance management domains in the construction industry. A questionnaire, comprising of five sections, was prepared and distributed among 100 participants. By analyzing the responses, it was seen that about 90% of the construction firms had defined their vision, mission and long-term goals. About 80% of the firms considered the factors of risk management, team building and leadership as important for long-term success, and almost all of the firms were equipped a quality management system. Further, a fuzzy-logics based technique, known as FTOPSIS, was applied to rank different types of firms in terms of their implementation level of advance management domains. It was found that Mega Firms ranked first with closeness coefficient (CC) value of 0.599, followed by Scaled firms and Emerging Firms.
