Abstract

Psychological resilience, the capacity to adapt successfully in the face of adversity, trauma, or significant stress, has garnered considerable attention in multidisciplinary research. This article explores the concept of resilience through the lens of various fields, including psychology, neuroscience, sociology, and public health. By synthesizing findings from diverse disciplines, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underpinning resilience and the factors that enhance or impede it. The insights gained are particularly relevant in times of crisis, such as natural disasters, pandemics, and economic downturns, where resilience plays a crucial role in individual and community recovery. This integrative review highlights the importance of a holistic approach to fostering resilience, encompassing biological, psychological, social, and environmental dimensions.
